COUNCILOR DISTRICT 7

Send an email to John Eagleton

John Eagleton is a native Tulsan and comes from a long line of family members who have proudly served in the legal profession in Oklahoma since 1894. Even as a young man, Eagleton gave unselfishly of his time and talents and was actively involved in helping others because it was the right thing to do. Following his graduation from the O.W. COBURN School of Law at ORU in 1986, Eagleton served as Assistant District Attorney under David L. Moss for three years before starting his own practice specializing in criminal law and family law.

In addition to his legal experience, Eagleton has an undergraduate degree in accounting, which will enhance his ability to ensure citizens are getting their money’s worth for every tax dollar they spend. He is both a fiscal and a social conservative and understands that government functions best when it focuses on core issues such as public safety, and infrastructure. His goal is to make Tulsa a more attractive place to raise a family and for businesses to prosper.

John is happily married to Alison they have two sons. John is also involved with the Kiwanis Club of Tulsa, the Republican’s Mens Club and thoroughly enjoys preparing large barbeque feasts for friends and loved ones.

Councilor Eagleton would like to share his statement against City of Tulsa employees campaigning in municipal elections. Supporting his opinion are a Hatch Act summary, and a PowerPoint file. He also wants to share with the public the supporting documentation of item 6G on the October 8, 2009, Tulsa City Council agenda concerning the requirement of "city officials to assist the auditor in his duties when requested."
