Current Council Issues:

The 2008 Neighborfest block parties have been scheduled. Here is the schedule by Council District. These events are excellent opportunities to meet your local officials and talk to them about local issues.

On Tuesday, April 1, 2008 voters elected three new Councilors to the 2008-2010 Tulsa City Council. The new councilors are: Jack Henderson (District 1), Rick Westcott (District 2), David Patrick (District 3), Eric Gomez (District 4), Bill Martinson (District 5), Dennis Troyer (District 6), John Eagleton (District 7), Bill Christiansen (District 8), and G.T. Bynum (District 9). They were sworn into office on April 7, 2008 at the Harwelden Mansion. John Eagleton was elected Council Chair and Jack Henderson was elected Vice-Chair at their first meeting.

Voters also approved two charter amendments: to change the current spring municipal officer elections to fall elections (Amendment 1) and to amend the definition of qualified elector in the Charter to align with Oklahoma State Law and allow voters, who have recently moved, but were unable to change their voter registration, to vote (Amendment 2).

The City of Tulsa's Consolidated Plan is a packet that is useful to those wishing to apply for Community Development Block Grant funding.
