Tulsa City Council Streets Subcommittee
On October 18, 2007, the Tulsa City Council created the streets subcommittee to address Tulsa's deteriorating street conditions and maintenance. The purpose of the subcommittee is to explore effective measures to improve Tulsa's streets and maintain a high quality condition. The subcommittee will monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of City operations concerning streets, and it recently has accepted a report from the Mayor's "Complete Our Streets" citizen committee on December 4, 2007 during the Urban and Economic Development Committee. Tthe Councilors teamed up in pairs to receive citizen input in Town Hall style meetings in November and December of this year and will host a general meeting in the near future.
