Selection Criteria

1. Citizen of Tulsa.

The Tulsa Youth Council is an official commission of the City of Tulsa.  Because of this, all members must reside within Tulsa city limits.  To ensure your home is within city limits, and to find your City Council district, use the City of Tulsa's District Finder.

 

2. Between the ages 15-18.

The Youth Council was founded upon the idea that Tulsa's young adults are fully capable of solving challenges within the youth community - the Youth Council is simply here to facilitate that change.  Because of this, all members are 18 or younger.

 

3. Can commit to attend meetings on Tuesday nights at 6:00 PM.

The Tulsa Youth Council is youth-driven and cannot work without its members.  All accepted applicants are asked to commit to once-a-week meetings held at City Hall.  These meetings typically last an hour to an hour and a half.

 

4. Have a passion to better Tulsa and ideas to make it happen.
