Highlights from this week's City Council Meeting - Dec. 12

City Councilors honored former Council Chair David Patrick for his service and dedication to the City Council and the citizens of Tulsa with a commemorative plaque which reads:

In Sincere Recognition Of Outstanding Public Service As Chair Of The Tulsa City Council

David Patrick

Councilor Gilbert and the City Council recognized Officer Craig Heatherly with a proclamation for his efforts in saving the life of an child.

After an automobile pursuit on Dec. 3, police officers discovered an unresponsive six-month-old child in the abandoned car. Officer Heatherly acted swiftly, and safely transported the child to the hospital in time for the infant to be resuscitated.

The City Council features adoptable pets at the first regular Council meeting of each month to raise awareness of the City's animals available for adoption.

This month's pets are Flash and Bosley. Flash is a one-year-old male Belgian Malinois mix, and Bosley is a one-year-old male Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund mix.

If you're interested in adopting these dogs, or any of the wonderfull animals at City of Tulsa Animal Welfare, call 918-596-8000.
