The Arkansas River Infrastructure Task Force has created an email address to receive ideas on river development from civic groups.
Groups such as Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, church groups, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, young professionals, active seniors and others are encouraged to provide their feedback on river development by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org.
No idea is too big or too small. Comments may range from: river infrastructure needs and priorities, environmental and habitat concerns, or river development ideas.
City Councilor G.T. Bynum, chairman of the Arkansas River Infrastructure Task Force, said:
"We're asking civic groups throughout the region to join us in this discussion. We want to know what kind of proposal you'd like to see and what kinds of features should be included in any long-term plan. All of our meetings and findings are available online for your use. The more eyes and minds we can focus on this issue, the better the final ballot proposal will be."
Proposals received will periodically be posted online for the public to review.
