Task Forces Aim to Improve City

City councilors and Mayor Bartlett met for a retreat one year ago to discuss their goals and objectives for the City of Tulsa.  Five task forces were created to formulate actionable steps to make this vision a reality. All of the task forces have submitted their reports and recommendations to the City Council and the mayor.

The Beautification Task Force recommended building welcome spots, increasing beautification efforts and improving code enforcement to make Tulsa "America's Most Beautiful City." Complete report here.

The Business Services Task Force proposed steps to help attract new business and ways to better accommodate existing businesses in Tulsa. Complete report here.

The Public Safety Task Force recommended the City improve 911 services and the coordination of safety programs as well as increase funding for the Public Safety Infrastructure. Complete report here.

The River Development Task Force encouraged infrastructure improvements and development opportunities to improve the Arkansas River corridor in Tulsa. Complete report here.

The Energy Industry Task Force recommended marketing and promoting Tulsa as the best place for energy-related activities and businesses. Complete report here.

City councilors and the mayor will meet for this year's retreat on Saturday, Jan. 26. They will review all task force recommendations and incorporate them into their goals for the upcoming year.
