The City Council Office has hosted legislative fellows from Pakistan and India through our global partnerships with the U.S. State Department, World Learning and the Tulsa Global Alliance throughout the past two years.
Now, Council Legislative Aide Allecia Chatman-Ratliff will be traveling from Tulsa to India beginning July 22 through August 5 with the India Outbound Fellowship Exchange program.
Allecia will join Community Service Council Senior Planner for Health Care Initiatives Laura Ross-White and Executive Director for the Disaster Resilience Network Tim Lovell from Tulsa and other fellows from Atlanta, Cleveland, Columbus and Washington D.C. The India Outbound Exchange program is a U.S. State Department funded program, coordinated at the national level by World Learning, a reciprocal program.
World Learning has arranged meetings with elected officials and representatives that include the U.S. Embassy, Madras High Court, and other governing bodies to discuss topics such as foreign policy, civil society and international affairs. In addition to Delhi and Mumbai, the fellows will be traveling to Chennai, which along with Tulsa is a member of the 100 Resilient Cities network.
Safe Travels Allecia, Laura and Tim!
